GDA Securities is an experienced fund manager and has been specialising in property funds investment and direct property management in Australia since 1996. It has a long track record of developing and managing high-quality investment property.
GDA Securities holds an Australian Financial Services License (AFSL) issued by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) entitling it to act as a Responsible Entity.
The Directors and responsible managers of GDA Securities are experienced in professional fund management with a diverse background and a wide variety of skills in areas critical to the acquisition, management, and disposal of property assets.
Board of Directors
Paul is a Chartered Accountant and leading insolvency practitioner with wide-ranging experience across a broad spectrum of business types. His professional expertise is based on a sound understanding of accounting practices, a wealth of relevant industry experience, and excellent knowledge of legal issues relating to reconstruction and highly developed leadership, mediation and interpersonal communication skills. Paul’s experience spans both private and government sectors, including professional assignments at state and federal levels and first hand experience with a major international accountancy firm.
Ann has been involved with GDA Group since its transition from Geoff Doolan and Associates and has worked in the business for over 20 years. Ann has been a director of GDA Group since 2016.
Ann has owned and managed a research business for over 30 years, specialising in medical studies and quality audits.
John joined GDA in 2011 and is the Chief Executive Officer of the GDA Group. His background includes banking, public practice and commercial accounting, tax, funds management and regulatory compliance. John is a member of CPA Australia and The Tax Institute.
Wayne has over 25 years as a Chief Executive Officer in the superannuation and financial advice industries and previously practiced as a lawyer. He has extensive experience in leading and managing a regulated business and holds qualifications in accounting, management, law, financial advice and commerce.
Bernard has over 40 years industry experience and has provided specialist advice and due diligence support to Public and Private Companies, Listed and Unlisted Trusts, Syndications, Aviation and Freight Industry, State & Federal Government in relation to rental assessments, acquisition, redevelopment and disposal of property assets. Bernard is a Certified Practising Valuer and Certified Property Practitioner and a former joint founding director of Knight Frank Valuations (Victoria).
Allistair has over 35 years’ experience in all facets of the Property and Construction industry. He has held senior positions in Development Management, Project Management, Architecture, Civil and Construction firms and was formerly the Chief Quantity Surveyor for the Victorian State Govt. He was also Associate Director – Procurement at UTAS. He has previously sat on the Real Estate Agent’s Tribunal, the Tasmanian Building and Construction Industry Training Board and the Property and Construction Advisory Board of the University of Melbourne where he also lectured in Professional Practice. Major project experience includes Federation Square, Docklands Stadium, Brighton Bypass and Intermodal Transport Hub, Parliament Square, major projects for UTAS, and various large Hotel and Residential Apartment projects.
